JacobsSenior Security Architect, U.S. Department of State (DOS)

Mr. Jacobs has a lifetime of IT Security mistakes. From “administering” dozens of PCs into inoperability to inadvertently turning a live domain controller into a kiosk to ruining a perfectly good PS3 turning it into a Rainbowcrack Engine, Dan rarely missed an opportunity to learn.

Mr. Jacobs has been with the DOS since February, 2015, and is currently focused on EMM, insider threat mitigation, and FISMA compliance while building a cloud-based Enterprise Cybersecurity Program in his off-time.

Dan is married to a feisty, iron-skillet-wielding southern gal and is the proud parent of two spirited Dobermans. You can follow some of his security thoughts @Dan_at_State
