The Case for Federal Green IT

When the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report in early 2007 correlating the cause of global warming to man-made emissions of greenhouse gases, some of the biggest corporations in the world increased their focus to adopt highly visible "green" strategies, embracing environmentalism in their core business operations as not only an ethical priority but also a smart business-move.

Server Memory Solutions for the Impending Data Center Power Crisis

Until very recently, data center managers were only concerned about performance and acquisition costs when they were considering buying new servers or expanding their facilities. Tandberg: Visual Communication is Green

Organizations around the world are becoming more environmentally conscious. This has come about for a number of reasons, including government regulation and incentives, initiatives to improve quality of life for employees, and customer demand. Whatever the motivation, the reduction of pollutants introduced into the ecosystem would be welcomed by all. This is especially true when reducing pollutants also reduces costs. By its very nature, videoconferencing is a “green” technology with a wide range of benefits for corporations, individual employees, and the community at large.
