Timothy RappMr. Rapp was born and raised in Austintown, Ohio. After entering the Army in

1990, LTC (Ret) Rapp was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division (ID) where he served in various positions ranging from 1/8th Infantry Medical Platoon leader to 704th Main Support Battalion Ambulance/Treatment Platoon Leader, and Battalion Adjutant. After serving with the 4th ID he was assigned to Fort Sam Houston, TX where served as the Commander of Alpha Company, Brooke Army Medical Center. Later assignments included: Adjutant, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) and Europe Regional Medical Center (ERMC); Chief, Patient Affairs Branch (LRMC); Chief, Patient Accountability Branch (LRMC); Chief, Information Technology Engineering at the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center (TATRC); Chief, Readiness for Army Systems Integration at the Army Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG); and most recently as the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) Chief Information Officer.

Awards: Meritorious Service Medal; Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; 2004 Army’s Greatest Invention Award Recipient; the Airborne Parachutist Badge; the Air Assault Badge; the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) and the Abzeichen fur Leistungen (German Sports Badge) in Gold. He also maintains the following credentials: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and Certified Tumor  Registrar (CTR) with the National Cancer Registrars Association   (NCRA).
