evettephotoEvette Maynard-Noel is the Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) and Director of Information Technology Accessibility, Information Collection, and Knowledge Management programs for the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where she is responsible for enterprise compliance with Sections 504 and 508  of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Paperwork Reduction Act policies, standards, guidelines and programs; and provides consulting and coordination assistance to business units in their goal of formulating plans for data, information, and knowledge management, and information systems.

Before stepping into her current role, Evette was the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for NPPD, responsible for managing secure and compliant environments to protects and preserves the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all NPPD information, systems, critical infrastructure, and personnel.

The future Dr. Maynard-Noel is a Doctoral Candidate in the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She holds a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
