John Sullivan currently serves as the Director of GSA’s Office of Government-Wide Policy (OGP) Information Resources Management Division. John leads OGP’s outreach to Agency CIOs to ease the adoption of shared services. As part of this, John currently serves as the Section 508 Program Director, leading the revamping of the Federal Section 508 Program.
John came to GSA in 2009 after 20 years at EPA, where he last served as the Chief Enterprise Architect managing the enterprise architecture, capital planning and investment control, IT policy, and IT human capital programs. Prior to that John worked to initiate the ‘Environmental Information Exchange Network’, which today allows federal, state, local and tribal governments to share their environmental information among agencies and with the public. In 2008, John was detailed to the OMB Office of E-government and Information Technology, where he supported the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program as it transitioned Administrations.
After hours, John has served as a Board Official with the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) for many years, and on numerous other Industry/Government IT collaborations. In 2012 John earned a life time achievement award in Enterprise Architecture from the FEAC Institute.
