201205184-001 Mark Hamilton official photo 250Mark Hamilton is an accomplished information science executive and skilled strategist overseeing complex programs developing organizational capability and achieving change.  His capabilities include managing large federal and commercial sector organizations involving annual budgets exceeding $5 billion.

Mark comes from the US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) where he is spearheading DoD-wide cultural transformation through leadership in the cyberspace operations.

Mark has over thirty years of experience in information management and has provided consulting and program management services to both for-profit and governmental clients.  He has worked at SMITH International, Northrop Grumman, CENTEX, and several Federal Government Departments/Agencies.  His engagements with the Defense, Intelligence and Civilian agencies have been focused on cyberspace security operations.

Mark is a certified information management professional and holds several credentials that include: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certificate; Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP); and the National Defense University Chief Information Security Officer (NDU-CISO) certificate, and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Mark has received several awards, to include: a Bronze Medal for his work with EPA’s, Office of Environmental Information and an EPA CIO Award for his work as EPA’s Enterprise Architect Leader for the Water Segment.  He graduated in 2006 from the Partnership for Public Service Excellence in Government Senior Fellows Program.  He is a past Board Member and Treasurer of the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) and a member of InfraGard Washington DC Chapter.

Mark is an avid offshore and coastal sailor / navigator, personal water craft operator, scuba diver, mountain biker, motorcycle rider, alpine skier and equestrian.
